Hi,I have question about filling Form I-864.My husband doesnt meet the requirements to sponsor me so his mother going to sponsor me but what forms they need to fill out?
Hi,
The overall form requirements do not change. In this case since your husband isn’t sponsoring you financially solely, you cannot fill I-864EZ.
His mother will need to fill out I-864 and you should be good to go, as long as the financial requirements are met.
You also have an option of having your husband and his mother both fill out I-864 individually, if your husband is going to sponsor you partially and his mother is going to cover the rest.
So in this case, does his mother count as a joint sponsor?
Which category would she fit in in Part 1 of the form?
