Purpose: The purpose of this page is to help you schedule your visa interview and prepare for it to maximize your chances of success.

Schedule Visa Interview

  1. Once you’ve completed the DS-160, the next step is to pay the visa fee.
  2. To pay your visa fee, visit this official website.
    • This page explains how to make your visa fee payment.
    • You will need to create a login, if you don’t have one already
      • Click on the “Login” link in the main navigation bar
      • In order to be able to pay fees, you’ll need to start with “New Application/Schedule Appointment’ link
  3. Schedule your visa interview by visiting this official website
    • You must schedule two appointments using the same credentials created in step 2 :
      1. Visa Application Center (VAC)
        • This appointment will allow you to go to the Visa Application Center locations to have your fingerprints and photo taken.
        • This appointment must be at least 1 day before your visa interview appointment at the Embassy or Consulate.
      2. Visa interview appointment at the Embassy or Consulate.

You will need these 3 things to schedule your appointment:

  1. Your passport number
  2. The visa application fee receipt number.
  3. The ten (10) digit barcode number from your DS-160 confirmation page

In addition to filing DS-160, the 2 main steps are:

  1. Pay the Visa Fee
  2. Schedule your Visa Interview
